Report from Frankfurt Book Fair 2010 My collection of Groo original art Groo Commission 2021

Groo original art

All these Groo originals are part of my Groo collection.

I always wanted a Groo original of the pre-Rufferto era, and found this on Ebay a couple of years ago.

( I do not know what the "Happy 25 Year" is about, however another Groo fan suggested this:
"It might have been signed at the 1985 Chicago Comicon and refer to the following: Sergio was the guest of honor
at this con. It was also Marvel's 25h anniversary and a theme on the Con's program booklet
")

This original piece is colored by Phil Dewalt, who also colored a couple of issues of the comic book.

This one I bought several years ago from a dealer at ComicArtFans.
I had to buy it, because I had never seen Groo riding af dragon before...

My first ever acquisition of original Groo art!

I bought this awesome drawing with Groo and a Gorilla Warrior personally
from Sergio at Frankfurt Book Fair in 2010, and he signed it to me.

You can read my detailed report from Frankfurt Book Fair here.

Before San Diego Comic-Con 2012 I ordered this commission from Sergio through fellow
Groo fan/collector Gary Grossmann, and he picked it up for me at the con.

Original art for page 18 from the 25th Anniversary issue. I bought this from Sergio Aragonés' German art dealer.
This page was perfect for me: Groo is in all panels, the panels in the middle are actually one scene divided in three, and
furthermore the three panels have Sergio's unique "shadowing with blacks dots" (don't know what else to call them) :-)

Fellow Groo fan/collector Gary Grossmann picked this up for me at Wondercon 2017.

Gary Grossmann picked this up at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

Another pickup from Gary Grossmann at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

Gary Grossmann again, this time at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
